Jennifer Granholm can boast all she wants about how "Michigan is open for business," but the facts show quite the contrary. Take, for example, Forbes Magazine's 2007 ranking of "The Best States for Business," in which Michigan ranks 46/50. The study considers business costs, labor, regulatory environment, economic climate, growth prospects, and quality of life in the rankings. It comes as no surprise that Michigan recieved especially horrible rankings in business costs, economic climate, and growth prospects.

Without further ado, here is a link to the rankings.
