Jimmy Wales on FA Hayek.

Below is a superb interview with the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales.  In the interview Mr. Wales discusses Hayek, the use of information in society, incentives vs. rules, and entrepreneurship.  From my friends at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala.

Cool! An SFE blog post from a few years ago (later made a Mackinac Commentary) covered the same topic - http://www.mackinac.org/9529

I have to laugh at “the founder of Wikipedia”, as his version is itself a lie. Wales tried to rewrite history. Did you know that Larry Sanger was the guy who brought the idea of a wiki architecture to the existing Nupedia encyclopedia project? That Sanger named it “Wikipedia”? That Sanger made the first invitation for editors to come help the new project? And that Sanger developed most of the key guidelines and policies that governed Wikipedia’s first year of growth?

Please don’t fall for Jimbo’s ruse.
